Fashion Show Flowers

Based on the sets from his last show for Jil Sander (top) and his first show for Dior Couture (bottom), it seems that Raf Simons knows his way around a flower shop. The result in both cases was both beautiful and dramatic. In the case of the Dior show, that was the result of over 1 million flowers.

Trend: Convertible Boots

Solid winter boots are an investment to say the least and once you find a reliable pair, that's all you want to wear. In my case, this usually means wearing L.L. Bean boots with jeans, skirts and dresses. That is why I am smitten with the idea of convertible boots that go from ankle to knee-high. These options from Ugg Collection and MM6 Maison Martin Margiela are perfect examples of two-for-one. I would wear the shearling-lined Uggs trampling through the snow and the high-heeled Margielas to work.

Lucky FABB Nomination

I was a little slow to mention this, but somehow I was nominated by Lucky Magazine for "Most Innovative Style." The awards will be announced tomorrow at their FABB Conference and I really am flattered to just be included with such a great group of bloggers. Also in the category are Susie Bubble, Honestly WTF, Bleach Black, and Guerreisms. I think it's great for Lucky to celebrate the wide range of voices present in the blogging community, many of whom inspire me. Congratulations to everyone involved and see you tomorrow!

Honestly...WTF at the IFB Conference
