Christopher Kane Aqua Gel Clutch-Inspired Nails

I have a definite soft spot for fashion that is also fun. Christopher Kane always delivers on that front and his Fall 2011 collection was no exception. The item that stood out on everyone's list was his Aqua Gel-Filled PVC Clutch. I knew I wanted to adapt this piece to my nails if only to bring back so many memories of trading stickers during recess and being lucky enough to score a jelly one.

To get the look, I layered a Deborah Lippmann sheer purple with an Essie neon pink and swirled the two colors while they were still wet. After letting the colors partially dry, I took the back of my brush and drew wavy lines, revealing my natural nail underneath, then finished it off with a clear top coat.
