What I'm Shopping: 4.1.15

It is spring, it isn't spring. Going forward I'm going to dress with the season, not the weather and I love the idea of this long white blazer. Crisp, but not fussy. It could be the basis of pretty much any outfit, but I like the idea of pairing it with some very on-trend dangly gold earrings, chic-in-a-French-way flats and the latest bag style by my all-time favorite bag company, Baggu. This could be my uniform for the next few months for sure.

Need: Sam Edelman Trina Sandals

Last summer I bought a similar pair of Chloe/Celine "influenced" sandals and proceeded to wear them literally to non-stop. The gold heel ads a little excitement to the classic shape and takes them from retro to minimalist. I will definitely be replenishing my collection this summer.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2012-Inspired Nails

With spring in the air, I wanted to take a collection that felt like it really embodied the season. The sweet oversized eyelet lace in Louis Vuitton's Spring 2012 collection hit that mark to pastel perfection. To capture the look I painted a few nails with pastel shades and left a few bare. Then I painted different eyelet patterns on each nail. To get the eyelet, I made groups of flowers and teardrops--some filled in, some not. On the bare nails I went over the eyelet with sheer pastels to capture the different layers of sheer fabric that Marc Jacobs used.

Some of the polishes that I used are Migi nail art pens, Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect in Air, OPI Hey! Get in Lime! and Essie Haute as Hello and Demure Vixen

Proenza Schouler Pre-Spring 2012 Handbags

Proenza Schouler's Pre-Spring handbags look to be a nice experimentation with patterns, textures and textiles. Their branding knowledge really shines in these instantly recognizable versions of their PS1, PS11, tote and keep all bags.

I also can't help but smile that I found these pictures from a Tweet linking to Proenza Schouler's new Google+ page.
