What I'm Shopping: 4.1.15

It is spring, it isn't spring. Going forward I'm going to dress with the season, not the weather and I love the idea of this long white blazer. Crisp, but not fussy. It could be the basis of pretty much any outfit, but I like the idea of pairing it with some very on-trend dangly gold earrings, chic-in-a-French-way flats and the latest bag style by my all-time favorite bag company, Baggu. This could be my uniform for the next few months for sure.

Beauty: Wash & Go

About a month ago I changed my gym routine so that I am working out in the mornings before work and showering at the gym. Now that every minute really counts, I've pared down my already simple beauty routine to just the essentials that I know I can rely on. My biggest concern was losing sleep, but Dr. Bronner's peppermint scent and Aesop's Rind Body Balm are both great eye-openers in the morning. My second biggest concern was my hair. I don't blow it dry, so I needed a product that would style quickly and last all day. After getting to try all of Paul Mitchell's new Curls line, I found my solution. My Weekend: 6.25.12

This past weekend was the first where I was in full-fledged summer mode. It included a trip to Fort Tilden with friends, delicious granola at the new Williamsburg restaurant Parish Hall and a new set of Sally Hansen Salon Effects (leopard from the Rock of Ages collection). Overall it was the right mix of fun and relaxing.

Baggu Bright Leather Bags

As a huge Baggu devotee and a sucker for anything brightly colored, the new leather totes and pouches by the Brooklyn-based company are calling my name. I'm thinking the medium tote (top) in grapefruit (middle) will be very hard to resist. Plus, as someone saving up for a very well-known satchel I don't mind supplementing my collection with a simple bag that can stand on its own in any closet.
